Wild 1, 8.5 Baby Apes worked well on my '07 RKC. The stock cables technically didn't need to be changed, but they sure were stretching.

I know a lot of guys switched over to the heritage bars on their RK's. It can be done without changing any of the cables/wiring. I'm sure some will post with pics. If I had a RK that's the route I'd take.

I love my Wild 1's for their comfort and they do not require changing the cables.

Heritage bars bolted right on and are much more comfortable than stock. I switched mine thursday. I won't say my bike looks worse, but this is a mod for comfort only.

I changed my 08 RK to heritage bars. It helped but still
had shoulder & back pain. I switched the RK seat to an
Ultra Classic seat. No more back or shoulder pain. The
seat does not look as good as the stock seat, but I don't
care the comfort is worth it. I posted pictures of the seat & bars.
They should be in my old posts. If the are gone email me.
I will send them to you. Good luck

I put black heritage style bars on mine. Total cost for bars and installed on bike was $200. Much better than stock!
