Just put these on my 02 classic when I let my son have it, they sounded kind of crappy at first but I must say after a few hundred miles they sound pretty good, not too loud but a good harley sound, but if you intend on getting any, you better do it because harley has discontinued these, but a little known fact is they are made by vance and hines and are the same as the slash cuts, the other SE mufflers with the changable tips are made by kirker /super trap and can be bought as the Super trap SE's.
[sm=exactly.gif] Yes..That is right. The Screamin Eagles are made by V&H. I forgot to mention this in my post. Thanks Gunrunner !!!
I have the 98B's with the stock header and am VERY dissapointed. I bought these before i got my bike on a recommendation. Basically they are just not loud enoug for me, not that classic haley sound. IMHO. I am going to duals and It will be V&H , Rineharts, maybe even T-Rex If I can ever hear or see these pipes.
Try changing the baffles to high flow / performance. For some reason, the 98B's I have are sometimes too loud IMO. I had a tru dual Rinehart system on my last bike and these are louder but I must be because of the baffles. It is cheaper than buying a whole new exhaust system.
I too am running the 64903-99 with stock head pipe, they are really not that loud and I like it that way you can hear them when you throttle up but they are fairly mellow when crusing, perfect for the bagger. I had pythons on my heritage and they were incredibly loud.
Add me to the list of riders who have/like 64903-99s. Excellent compromise between tone and volume. A nice low growl that has improved with miles (currently have 4000 on the bike) but still can hear the stereo with the volume only at half. Great performance too, which is the main reason I got them.

Copout221:
Where do you get these "high flow / performance" baffles? Is it a harley part? Can you easily swap the baffles?
I am running the SE 64903-99 (slash down - one piece body) on my 06 RK Custom with V&H true duals. They sound good....When you get on it they open up and tame downcruising. Sounded a little tinny new but opened up and rumbled with some miles on them. I have about 7K on the bike now.

Yes, I'm happy with my SE 64903-99s. The only thing that keeps them from being perfect is slight popping on deceleration. I have Stage 1, SERT and two hours on the dyno and they still couldn't eliminate it completely.
I guess I'm the odd one of the group -- I have the 924 slash ups on my '06 RK. I would, however, echo the positive comments about the 903s. I believe they're the same design - just a different look.
I have the SE Pro 98b on my bike with the stage 2 big bore,I like the sound,I've noticed they have gotten louder with a nice low rumble, some have commented on what a nice sound my bike has, dont know if the sound is different because of the stage 2 bigbore. I like the sound of the SE Pro's
I have the 64903-99`s (slash down) on my 05 RK. They have been on the bike since new, not deep enough sounding to me. I would prefer something a bit louder, with a little better tone. These are good, but I think there is better.
