I have a question that has been bugging me for years and that is, what are those caps or ***** on top of the hard bags on the police road king? I never ran into anyone with one to ask them.
That's an easy one. The police bag lids are hindged on the outside. The **** twists and the bag opens. These are very handy and alot of people like them better than the stock harley bags.
We also call them HOCKEY PUCKS, and are also on the Police EG (I own a 2003). As Terry says, they are very handy. I've been riding these since 1992, beginning on the job, and now even my pleasure ride.
Do u need new bags for the "pucks" or is there a link?
You could probably get away with your original bags, but not sure about that. Thinking again about it, no you couldn't. The hinges are on a different side, the latches are on a different side, and the way the lid attaches to the bag itself is different.
