Are you replaceing them with new ones, or reusing the old ones???

If you've pulled the cylinders your best replacing the studs, the replacements are an upgrade and have a collar on the bottom so you screw them in till they bottom out so no measuring them like the old ones and will save you some heartache later, ask me how I know!

Yep, he says a 1987 so he prolly has the ones w/o the shoulder.
