Local rotor polish is $40 per, he charges the dealers that price anyway. Full floating rotors won't only look and stop better, but they pay for themselves since the pads will wear evenly.

The rotors I have seen were chrome on the inners and regular on the outer where the pads make contact. I am talking about part number 44944-08. Does anyone know of any place in the ATL that can beat this price?

Floating rotors are one of those things that's definitely worth more than the price of 'em.

I have the chrome rotors, and as mentioned will wear off with brake use. They will definitely look great with those new forks and sliders.

one piece rotors need to be polished or it becomes weaker and won't last too long.

Is Brasso the best thing to use? Doesn't affect breaking? Anybody using anything else, or is this the best idea?

Couple years ago I paid $108.00 for a set of polished rotors from ebay. They still look great, especially with the chrome calipers.

No need to polish the section that the break pads touch, they will only dull back up from break friction. Only apply Brasso to the polished center section.
