Default Activate Auto Comp release

If I install a set of SE heads that already have the ACR installed I know I have to purchase the wiring harness but I also remember reading somewhere that you have to activate the ACR by getting into the ECM and reprograming something. Is this correct and is this something an Indy can do or only HD tech?

All 96 cu. in. and larger engines from H-D have automatic compression release (that is why it sounds like a gun shot when they start up). If you have a 96 cu. in. or larger motor (a 2007 model should), activation of the ACR should already exist.

You need to purchase the harnesses, and then activate ACR through the ECM program. It can be done with the SE ProRacetuner; otherwise the dealer has to do it. Or if an indy has the HD service software/pc system (Digitech i think is the name?), then they should be able to activate ACR iva the ECM.
