Default Beaten to death

I know this has been beaten like a dead horse but I have a cop bike 2008 with a PCV in it. Hard starts when hot almost everytime. Well being that it is the 4th and all jamie and the boys are out of the office. I decided to play with the start up fuel a bit and see if I could get this thing any better. After a bunch of changes to the %levels I tried to just disable the startup fuel and off she goes everytime. I did take the PCV off and it would fire smooth as could be without it on there so that lead me to think that if I disable it all together it would help. Did the trick as far as I can tell. About 95 here today so I would think if it starts now it should be good to go. Any thoughts out there??

Had the same problem with hard starting when hot. Read in a thread to shut the bike off with the kill switch. When starting, enable the kill switch and immediately hit the starter before the pump cycles in full. Has worked like a charm ever since. Of course, YMMV.

Good luck with the fix.

Mine is almost *** backwards then. I disable the start up fuel, I turn the ignition on and let it sit till the pump is done and start it up. Fires everytime now. I have tried everything I have read around here as well as what moto guys told me and this is the only thing that has worked. I know it is in the PCV because I took it off and everything was normal. Thats why I disabled the start up fuel. I guess we will see what it does in the morning when somewhat cold. It gets pretty bad when you have a Harley and it won't even start. You get some pretty funny looks.

I recently put a PC V on my bike and the map Jamie sent me had the start up fuel disabled and it starts great.

I think that is the key.. I will call him on Tuesday and see what happened. Not sure if the 103 map he had and sent to me was supposed to have it enabled or disabled. Had her out tonight many stop and goes and it is fine. The 103 comes with factory ACR's so I was just losing my mind trying to figure this one out. Not to sure what happened but I will call and make sure they know just in case the same map gets sent to someone else.
