Default Can anyone help me?

I am riding a 2001 roadking. its an old police bike. Recently I started having engine trouble. The diagnostic code it threw is 42. I cant seem to find out the meaning of this code. Too poor to order a book and too far away from civilization to go to a shop. Can anyone help me? Thanks to those who can and are willing.

I don't know dude but I do know your got whats right between 41 and 43 for sure! Start checking simple stuff plug wire and both ends, fuel filter, air cleaner basic stuff like that. What is the bike doing?

Parts changing to find a solution to a problem can get expensive.

What kind of engine trouble? The power reference on your bike for the crank position sensor and cam position sensor are shared so if one is failing it will throw a few codes. The connector is prone to corrosion so you can start by cleaning the contacts located on the right side of the frame lower tube. If just 42 and running like **** and cleaning contacts don't work, I'd change the cam position sensor.

Dawg sorry it has taken so long for me to get back. thanks for the advice. riding a short distance at 35 mph I lost the front cylinder and have not been able to get it to fire since. I've taken apart looked at the cam lobes, the lifters, the push rods. everything looks good, getting spark but still wont fire. Ill try the contacts and see if that will work. thanks for the advice brother. I owe you a beer or two. If you come anywhere near Safford, Az look me up I'm not hard to find it's a small place.
