Default Why did my pipe do this?
I had another set on with the same tune for 23K miles that never did, when I got back from a 5 day trip my right pipe is discolored

Did you change the clamps - looks like there could be a leak?

I think you can polish that off with Boms Away Metal Polish you can buy here:

Best stuff I've ever used.
After it's off take off the muffler, clean the inside with solvent and paint the inside with hi temp header paint. It shouldn't come back.
I had a SE Nightstick that did the same thing but the above cured it.

Try some Blue Job or similar product. It should wipe that discoloration right off with a little elbow grease.

Buddy of mine had Samson slip ons do the same thing. I had a set of their hollow fishtails, and they never did it.
