Road King Handle Bars

I am looking at buying a 2001 Road King, it has the orignal bars on it, I really like the feel of the Heritage Classic bars whats involved in changing out handle bars. Is $13.500 a fair price fpr a 2001 Road king carbed 16000 miles. Looks really nice has service records. I had a Heritage Classic the King felt a little top heavy If I change to a differeant seat one with a little drop in the back would this help.

I think the heritage classic bars will interchange with the roadking, not changing cables or anything. You will just have to remove the headlamp & bucket, swap grips, etc. then remove the key insert (plastic key cover) to remove the two screws & I thinkg you gotta remove a upper trim piece to remove the handle bar clamp cover & then you can get to the bar clamp bolts and exchange bars out. ITs really easy if your at all mechanically inclined--I change my bars out , also changing the mount bushings to neopreme bushings in about 4 hours the 1st time i tried(I had to change cables/brakes lines also)-- If all your changing is bars--shouldnt take but a few hours.
