Default waterproof nuvi
buddy wants a gps but doesnt have the cash for a zummo what model nuvis are water proof?

Some Nuvi users just carry a baggy with them to cover it when it rains.

The Nuvi 550 is waterproof. I bought one off ebay for a little over 200 new, not refurbished

Default Waterproof Nuvi
The Garmin Nuvi 500 and 550 are both waterproof. They actually have a video where they operate them under water in an aquarium. I own the 550 and use it on my boat too.Its a good solid unit and does the job. Hope this helps.

Don't have to be waterproof. Get an Aqua Box mount. Or stretch a condom over the GPS. Both work great. Here is one that works great. Has bluetooth, and uses an SD card.

I run a Garmin 765 with the garmin mount stuck onto my tach glass and just carry a ziploc bag when it rains.

I don't know what others think but I find the Mp3 files on the SD card in the Garmin sound better than Mp3 files played on a recorded CD through the OEM HK system...

Works for me...
