I'm thinking of replacing the lines that run to the oil cooler on '07 with something a little more attractive. Any suggestions.
Also, I've had the oil cooler on the bike for about 40k I'm not sure it's working as well as when I first put it on. Is there anyway to clean it out or check it to make sure I'm getting good oil flow through the cooler.
Thanks in advance guys. This forum has been a huge help to me.
You didn't sat what cooler your running, but I had problems with the t-stat on my HD premium cooler. My solution was to remove the t-stat completely. Bikes oil temps are alot cooler now and it seems I gained a couple PSI of oil pressure.
eja, how did you remove the T-Stat from the adapter, I would like to do the same. I have not purchased my HD premium oil cooler yet so I would like to know how to do it when I get it. Thanks, sorry for the hijack and pm me if you think its best.

Check the cooler and the lines with a laser thermometer. That will tell you at what temp it is opening and how it is flowing through the cooler. Should open and flow through at 180 in hot weather. As far as attractive i guess braided stainless would look good but hard to get it to make those sharp bends. I have used hydraulic hose with braided covering for oil lines before. Still black but better and tougher than stock. Still hard to make those bends though.
