Default Bub 7 question

OK OK probably a little late for this now, as I just picked up a set of Bub 7 true duals last night for a good price. But wondering... do the head pipes on these use a non-standard size like the Rhineharts do, where a standard slip-on won't fit? I know only Rhinehart mufflers will fit Rhinehart pipes, was hoping the Bub 7's were a little more standard if I wanted to change the mufflers sometime down the road.

I started to answer yes but if I remember they open up to 2" in the muffler, see if your stock muffler will slip on, that will tell the tell, I had them and they are a awesome pipe with the bub7 mufflers.

cool thanks for the info... they should be here in a week or so, will check them... I've heard nothing but positive things on these pipes, I'm looking forward to getting them on.

When I was shopping for true duals for my 09 Ultra, I called BUB and the sales rep told me they come in 1 3/4" and 2" diameter. You might want to check which size you've bought.
By the way, I ended up buying a set of V&H Dresser Duals and I'm extremely pleased with the results.

my guess is that the slip-ons for the stock headpipes are 1 3/4", and the complete system is 2" like the Rhineharts are/were... o well np, I got such a smokin deal on these, and 99.999999% I am gonna like them that it won't be an issue.

Don't know if this will help or not, but I have a set of Bub 7 slip-ons that fit perfectly with the stock head pipes. But, I don't know if the Bub 7 slip-ons with the true dual system are different diameter than stock.

BUB sells their true-duals both as a complete exhaust and as headers only. The part # for the headers for my 09 was 05-3023CG. That's the one the rep told me they come in 1 3/4" and 2".
By the way, before switching to CFRs, I had Rinehart slip-ons on my Ultra and they were 1 3/4".
