Novus makes three grades of windshield cleaner. Novus 1 is a light polish, helps in keeping clean. Novus 2&3 are, 2 for light scratches, 3 for heavier scratches.

+2 on the Novus products.
Meguires Scratch-X would be my second choice, you will find it at most stores that have auto detailing supplies.

Original factory harley shield is coated.
If you over-buff and remove the coating in damaged area it will show as rainbows when viewed with polarized glasses.
If scratches are mild consider a cosmetic improvement like plexus which will diminish the perception of very mild scratches.

Has anybody used those products on their eye glasses? Fine scratchs in the glasses should be the same as the ones in the windshields. Just wondering. New glasses with scratches is a real downer.
Thanks

I got this tip off the internet and it works. If your eyeglass plastic lens have the anti scratch coating, Go to a craft store like Michaels and buy a small bottle of Armour Etch. It's glass Etching cream. cost about $12.00
Don't use it if your eyeglass lens are made of glass. Most are plastic.
Clean your glasses with mild soap and water. dry them with a soft microfiber towel. Take a Q-tip and swab the Armour Etch on both sides of each lens. cover them good by lightly dabbing the Armour Etch on. Let set about five min. and rinse under the faucet with cold water. The Armour Etch takes the anti scratch coating off and you've got a new set of len's. I couldn't believe how good they looked, like a new pair of glasses. If all of the anti scratch is not removed with the first try, do it again, it will not hurt the lens.
