Default Primary cover bolt stripped - help

Have a 2009 Road King and stripped one of the torx bolts to the primary cover.

1. How can I remove the stripped bolt?

2. Where can I buy hex head or allen bolts? I'm in Germany so need to order via internet.

3. What size are the bolts - are they coarse or fine thread - what #?

thanks for any advice

Derby Cover screws ¼”-20 X 5/8” Allen button head
Use a flat washer too.

Look at post#20 https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...-screws-2.html

Had the same problem with a timer cover bolt so here is what I ended up doing. Being VERY careful I drilled off just the head of the bolt. Then after removing the other bolts and removing the cover I was able to get the stripped one out with vise grips.

Dolt. After posting I see this was an old reopened thread....

Happens to everybody. Cut a slot in the screw head with a dremel and use an impact driver. Comes right out.

You can look around for a local Fastenall dealer. They are an international company and sell and usually stock all types of fasteners.

I have taken many out using a small Chisel, hitting the head of the screw from the side,,
