Default Loose bolts!!!!!!!!

I discovered two drops of oil under my bike. I started to search and discovered that two bolts that hold a small muffler bracket (right side) and are also part of what hold a cover that I think is part of the clutch were loose (hand loose). Oil was everywhere under the engine. I was able to tighten up the bolts and clean up the bottom. My bike (2009 EGC) has 9500 mile on it. No leak yet. My question is, has anyone else experienced this situation?

Thanks!!!!!

Common problem on the 08 and later bikes. Both my bolts were totally missing. Do a search here and you'll see

Locktite is your friend, the dealer may or may not be. I have seen stuff fly off my friends bikes that only get serviced at the dealer. (shifter peg, highway peg, other stuff). I pays to check this stuff yourself, I guess.

I will start checking my bike more in detail after a service and between services.

Seems to be a common problem. I check all critical fasteners about every 6 months. So far mine has remained tight but if I ever find them loose I will use LocTite on them.
