Default Tour pak running light upgrade.

I have an 04 EGC with the 4 bulb side running light. I have seen some that have 7 or so lights and was wondering where they picked these up or if they are an upgrade on the newer models? I think they use LEDS for they were bright.

I felt the same about the 194 light bulbs. I went to Walmart and found strip LEDs for about $6.99 each. They came in red, yellow and blue. I bought two red strips. I removed the red covers, bulb sockets and wiring from the side of the Tour Pak. I lined the entire area under the cover with silver tape. I then held the strip (without removing the paper backing that covered the sticky tape to attach it) in the center of the area of the lights. I put the wire ends through the hole in the end and measured the strip to the other end to cover the entire length of the lighting area. I marked it and removed it. I checked where the closest LED was located. I cut the strip to fit under the cover. I put the LED strip back on the area and started to remove the paper covering the double sided tape. As I centered the strip, I pulled the paper off and pressed the LED strip in place. I then wired the end wiring with the pins and plug as the factory wiring has. This way I can plug the LED strip in without cutting the wiring harness. I tested the LED strip. It was good so I installed the cover.

I turned on the lights and the LED strip lit the entire light bar so much better than the 194 bulbs. And I spent only about $20.
