That is normal for out here in So Cal. You can say what you will about the dealers, but they do this because there are always buyers out here that will pay for a bike with many accessories already installed. While I wouldn't buy one (and I am not an HD employee), I think it is just good business on the HD dealers part in So Cal. This is an area with a year round riding season and many people have enough money to buy a bike with bling already installed-if HD can capitilize on this, more power to them.
The person that started this thread, said nothing about them "not selling stock bikes" besides, who cares, there's a harley shops everywhere, here in georgia I have 10 within a 60 mile radius of my house. If you dont like a dealer, just drive a few miles to another one.
I was only in the dealership for 15 min...but most if not all of the bikes appeard to be accessorized.

Ive never been in a harly shop with all stock bikes, so why is this a problem, every dealer, car, truck or bike does the "build" on a few its how things are done, even honda dealers do it, seen more tricked out trike kits and custom parts on goldwings than HD's. at their dealers, its easy to figure out, if they didn't sell, they wouldn't do it.
The owner of a local dealership to me builds a new Ultra with sidecar and has the whole set up custom painted and puts every possible piece of chrome and accessory HD makes on it. Then he rides it to Daytona Bike Week and maybe a couple more times through the summer and then sells it for 80-90k. And they sell every year and then he starts all over and does another one in time for Daytona.
They always look sweet!!! But not worth 80-90k to me anyway but they always sell.
