i push the start button on my 03' roadking, and just get a click. i had the battery checked and it's 12.7 volts. any ideas ?????? thanks

 

Check all connections to make sure they are good and tight. Check the relay. Check fuses.

 

You should consider checking the terminals for tightness and clean the terminals if you haven't already.

12.7 voltage check does not necessarily indicate a good battery. When cranking, the amperage of a battery is what counts the most. A battery can have a weak cell and still register 12.7 volts. You need to have the battery load tested at your nearest reputable auto parts store.

 

I had the same thing happen with my '05 EGC. Dealership replaced silenoid and starter. No problems since

 

when checking your connections..remember to check the ground connections on the frame too..
