oh boy, do your homework and search on here like crazy. You will need longer cables and wires but some of the fairing owners may have found a way to reroute cables. I am sure they will chime in. Call the vendor for the bars your friend wants. They usually will help you with what lengths you will need. HD sells both but other vendors sell them cheaper. For instance, I think the magnum chromitte cables look better than the HD stainless. Novello has an extension kit that is cheaper than HD. There is always Hillside country customs or Johnny Vaughnn. They sell packages that have everything included.

just my 2 cents

You will most likely need to extend the wiring for 14" apes. Check with NAMZ, they have ready made and color coded kits up to 12", you'lol probably get by with the 8" extensions. Just make sure you have every conceivable part before you get started, read the directions 2 or 3x. Nothing worse that getting ready for a couple hour job and find out that you don't have all you need.

Both have the wiring kits and both will respond back to you on your needs. The 8" will be enough for the 14's as 6 was recommended for my 12.5's.

You will need longer wires. I can get them for you if you like. Call the shop to place your order if it is not too late already.

Thanks!
