Default Need a Solution for an Ultra Classic Comm system problem

Ok this might get a little long so I ask your indulgence in advance. Hopefully an EE or good ET can help me with my issue. I have a 2007 Ultra Classic, with the HK advanced radio system. Installed on the bike is a TomTom Rider GPS. It has no speakers for voice prompts, instead working through a Bluetooth receiver. I use a Motorola unit that I wear in my right ear. I use the Aux jack to play my iPod through the HK. I assume when you have the headsets plugged in the iPod would play through the headphones(?). My dilemma is this, I'd like the ability to use the CB, and IC between the rider and pax. I have the standard HD kit for the rider and pax, with boom mike and two earphones ( assume you hear music through the headphones when they're plugged in?) My rider and I wear 1/2 helmets with no provision for mounting the boom mikes or earphones as they are currently configured, as they are built for 3/4 helmets. I know you can buy those little leather pouches to fit the headphones in, but mounting the mike in a stable, usable position doesn't seem to be possible w/o some mechanical fabrication. I know HD is now making a kit for the 1/2 helmet, but it still has two headphones. Now, here comes the fun part. Since I want to keep my voice prompts from my GPS, on my rider headset, can I cut-off one of the headphones and just reconnect the wires so there's continuity, or do I have to put some kind of load in the line in order to make up for the lost earphone? I've been trying to figure this out in my own mind, but being an ex-mechanical engineer that's been in program managment far too long, I can't figure this out on my own anymore. If anyone has a solution to this I'd love to hear it. Thanks in advance.
