Has anyone try v&h powerduals with the monster ovals. If so how well did they perf. an sound I was thinking about trying this combo. sent my ECM OFF TO REVOLUTION PERFORMANCE THEY SAY THEY IT WILL RUN LIKE A SPORSTER ON STEROIDS I HOPE.
There has been a lot discussion regarding this combo. Some people love them while a few have not been happy with the sound. I have the V&H Monster Ovals on my 09 SG. I really like the sound of them and will be adding the Power Duals later this year. Hope this helped.
My local indy told me this about that. First, he says the monster ovals are his favorite slip-ons for that bike as far as out of the box performance and potential to support higher power builds. Second, the 09 baggers have a 2-1-2 system from the factory, and no catalyst like the 2010s. So these stock pipes are very good, and upgrades give minimal increase in performance over the 09 bagger stock pipes. I'm not a tech, but this makes sense to me.
Just put on a set of the Twin Slash Monster Oval's myself a little over a month ago. I've been thinking the same as to add the power duals or not myself.
I've go to say though after running them for about a month I have started to notice a little bit of increase in the sound from the muff's which has got me having second thoughts of adding the duals.
We'll see. Interested in also hearing opinions from those who are running them.
