Default Riding with contacts

After 20 years of wearing glasses, finally decided to try contact lenses.

Went on a ride the other day with my Ray Bans and probably avg no more than 65 mph. No problem
On the way home (dark) had to switch to my HD riding glasses (did not have the foam inserted). Speed may have been 70 or so but had hell with the contacts. I don't know if it was the slight increase in speed or the change in glasses.

Either way, I've got to get this figured out. What are you contact wearers using?

Thanks

I would imagine wearing contacts would be a problem with dirt, dust and other road debris getting into your eyes. I know I still have a problem every once in a while even while wearing glasses.

Riding 10 years with contacts. Try another brand.

I've been riding for years with contacts. I have one pair of glasses that fit real tight and has the foam closure. The wrap-around clear safety glasses work well at night. A windshield helps too, before i had the Ultra I had to make sure the glasses didn't let any air in.

its the wind/air getting in behind your glasses. Any air that gets there will dry out or shift your lenses. Mine are weighted so they stay in a certain position and when the wind hits me wrong it goes out of focus or dries up , good snug eye wear is what you need.

+1

I wear rigid lenses, and the right glasses make all the difference.

Any wind at all dries my Contacts right out. I wear a FF helmet most of the time or a half helmet with goggles. Good luck

I wear a pair of Oakleys called half jacket during the day and a pair of Harley with the foam inserts during the night.I always carry a small bottle of contact solution to wet my eyes if they get to feeling dry.

You need to get sunglasses made for riding on motorcycles (Ray Bans are NOT designed for that purpose). Harley makes some decent ones that don't cost an arm and a leg.
