sold my 1957 Chevy Belair and purchase a 07 Bagger for myself and 07 SG for the wife. It might of been stupid doing but we did the car shows for years and it was time to move on to something. we love the bike and taking them to Sturgis again this year.
Thanks again guys! I think the true feeling of being debt free will hit us NEXT month. It is cool that there is not a lot of new features on the 2011 bikes. I do want to see the new LED headlights, there's that chrome......
It's great to hear (see) a lot of happy responses! I have to say that it is good that the credit was there when I needed it. It gave us three years of riding that we would not have had. It does feel good to know that we have the prize (FLHTK) and the options to get other things if we want, in stead of being maxed out on our spending, all the time. OPTIONS ARE GOOD!
We are now planing a long mainland run (Sturgis Rally-next year?). In our past twenty plus years we have had the good fortune of seeing a lot of the country. It would be great to do a tour of the mainland for a couple of months to revisit places and see some new ones. My wife has a few more parks to visit to finish her National parks passport. So far, my boss is open to the idea. It would be fun to see if we can wear the bike out .
Sweet!!! Now's the time to start putting a little aside every month and in a year or so, you can trade in your scoot and pay cash for a new (or newer) one.
