Got 'em as soon as the dealer had a pair. I now have a combination of these and a new Clearview large windshield, which was tested on a 1200 mile trip two weeks ago. I can't say for sure what percentage of the improvement over the stock setup is owed to the deflectors and what percentage belongs to the windshield, but the difference is remarkable. I've gone from wanting to get rid of the Roadie to loving it.
Just remember to take off the existing Fork Baffle (under the triple tree) first, as the baffle directs the air flow down, while the new black plastic pieces direct the air flow up IN FRONT on the tank and reduce the vacuum created by the fairing/windshield.
Hey meveratt, didn't know about removing the other baffle. I left mine on and still got a nice reduction in updraft. I didn't see any instructions for removing the other baffle. Where did you see that or get that idea?
They worked for me. Not the 100% fix all but quite an improvement. Of course... This is just me. You will see some didn't find them to be so good some did. Everybody is different but for 29$ it isn't an expensive test.
The buffeting i saw was above 60. 60 and below i never had an issue. Coming into work this morning i was cruising at 80 with no bufetting issues.
They mount just fine with the fuel tank retrofit. I've had em on mine for about 1500 miles now. The rubber covers over the bolts have to come off, but other than that, you're good.
Picked up a set last week and gave them a test-run Saturday. RGU, lowers, vents on lowers fully opened. They work, and work well. The air that used to boil up between the inner fairing and the front of the tank is now smoothly directed up the inside of the windshield. This greatly reduces the buffeting by both reducing the turbulence off the tank and raising the airflow off the top of the windshield. My glasses used to vibrate at speed, now they don't. I hit lots of bees, saw several shoot up the inside of the windshield and over my head - none hit me. Got stung inside my ear three weeks ago, so I'd have to say this is an improvement....
Overall, these were money well spent. Takes about 30 seconds to install them, they are very secure (tested to 110 mph) and you can easily remove them if you want.
My dealer had them in stock as part of there 2011 new parts stock. I installed them on my 09 cvo roadglide. Best 30 bucks i ever spent. I did have to remove the gas tank mod tabs in order for them to fit.

I installed them on my 06 RG with no issues at all, clipped right on. ( I do have the fancy Harley tank mounting nut kit on my gas tank). I thought they make a big improvement with wind buffeting and I left my lower baffle on. I also have 2" over Clearview wind shield.
