I tried the Hydrogen Peroxide/water 50/50 mix. Wow is all I can say.

I picked up a spray bottle of it at WalMart for like 1.27, poured half into another bottle, filled with water and went to town. The spray bottle it comes with sprays a very fine and controllable mist so there is no overspray.

This worked great. I think I found my solution for my quest for a quick detailer.

Thanks for recommending this solution. Yet again this forum came through with some great tips.

Yep the 50/50 mix works great at removing bugs and cleans the bike well. I always follow up with Lemon Pledge though.

I spray it on the bugs and let it sit for 5 minutes while I clean the rest of the bike. Then put another coat on it. By the time I make it to the faring/bugs they come off with a wipe of the towel. As cheap as it gets too.

I don't use it because it's cheap. I use it because it works better than ANY thing I've ever tried. I only use it for the bugs though. Think about when you put peroxide on a cut, it foams up. Same thing works with the bug proteins.

I suppose I should have specified. Yes, I use this for bugs. The batwing catches a lot of bugs through the day, and this takes care of it real quick.

For dirt and grime, of course a more conventional cleaning method is used.

I'm pretty impressed at how well it removes the bugs!

Let it set for a bit and they wipe right off.

You can't ask for more than that

okay here it is. take any spray bottle, old windex type or whatever. pour in enough hydrogen peroxide to fill the bottle halfway. fill the bottle to the top with water. voila, you now have your 50/50 mix of hydrogen peroxide and water. see hydrogen peroxide dissolves or eats proteins and bugs are mostly made up of protein. spray it on your fairing, windshield, anywhere that you see bug juice or associated parts and a few minutes later spray it with clear water and whoosh, de bugs be gone. when you dry your bike, like magic the bugs will be gone.
