Default Klock Werks vs LRS X-Strem Windshields

I recently had a bad experience with Klock Werks windshield; even though, liked the style of the windshield their customer service is horrible. I sold my Klock Werks and have been thinking about getting another windshield. Has anyone have any feed back on the LRS X-streams? If you could have either, which one would it be? Pros and Cons for both…

None of the above... or stick with the stock windshield. I believe the LRS is made out of acrylic...go with a shield made from PC

I like my LRS, doesn't vibrate at highway speeds and bike feels more stable.

I run a Klock Werks windshield on my RoadGlide and love it...17000 miles so far. It fits for my hieght (5'8") and I leave it on year round. I have had excellant customer service and was well taken care of when I decided i wanted a dark tint insteed of the light tint that was shipped. Just my experiance.

Cderider, what height windshield did you go with? My RG will be here in about 2 weeks and I have been looking at Klock Werks. I'm the same height as you, why I'm asking.

I had an LRS X-stream 8"......I would say go for at least a 10"...maybe bigger...the 8 inch was like riding without a windshield the buffeting was so bad.....I ordered their LRS ULTRA in a 10" dark tint....it's due in today......I'll know if it works by tomorrow.....

Here was my issue with the KW. I am 5-3 riding an Ultra. I got the 8.5 black. I didn't know the black was just that, completely black and even superman could not see through it. I wasn’t able to see through it at all. I rode one time around the block and felt completely unsafe with the windshield.

I called KW, told them I was 5-3, had gotten a 8.5 black and before I could finish, the lady told me, “You cannot see, huh?” I asked them to exchange it and she said they couldn't, sell mine as new, so they couldn’t exchange it. I was very disappointed.

Well anyways, I sold mine on eBay for a loss obviously. Now I’m looking of a replacement windshield. To tell you the truth, I really liked the KWs shape and thickness. But, I wont purchase another one because of their customer service. I wanted something like the KWs and I read about the LRS. I was just trying to get a feel from you guys to see if they are a good windshield and how is their customer service. More important, is there anyone of you who have these windshields and how do you like them.

How do the LSRs compare to the shape and thickness of the KWs?

I have a 12" Klock Werks on my '10 RG and love it. I'm 6'1" and it does a great job of reducing the so called buffeting.
