2009 FLHX Rear Brake Question
I have a 2009 FLHX with 17,000 miles on it. Had the back tire replaced at a local independent shop and now I get a fairly strong vibration when I hit the rear brake with any sort of force. The bike has ABS but it is not the ABS kicking in. It feels like a car with warped rotors. I don't recall the brake feeling like this prior to the rear tire change. Could the shop have installed the rear tire incorrectly? When I picked up the bike and rode off I noticed a very bad vibration. Took it back to the shop and they hadn't tightened one of the bolts holding the muffler. Then when I got home I noticed no cap on the valve stem. Both little things but makes me question how much care was taken changing the tire.

Sounds like you may have answered your own question. Unfourtunaly nobody takes as good of care of our bikes as we do. Your problem could be many things but i would start with a misaligned pad or tire crooked.
