Bought my first harley last year. Confused about the tuning, dont know how, dont want to screw it up , scared to take it to a dealer. It needs some fine tuning. They tell me i need to go to a experienced HARLEY Tuner with a DYNO. Just curious if there is a Good tuner in Central or Southern Ohio
It is my understanding that Keith @ Thiels Wheels in Upper Sandusky does a pretty good job. Never used him myself, but have talked to him, seems to know his stuff and writes a number of articles for magazines.
Keith Ketchum and Jon Miller at Thiel's Wheels in Upper Sandusky are both excellent tuners, and they are honest to a fault...you cannot go wrong with these guys. Received my 2010 FLHX in April from them....MOST EXCELLENT WORK!
Everything at Theils has changed and not for the good..Keith no longer works there, nor do most of the other staff members we have known for many years..all gone. The new owner has shot himself in the foot, and now is going to find that its much harder to get them back than to drive them away..Sad
Look into a ThunderMax which tunes itself (like a car) that way no matter what you do the new ECM will tune itself to your configuration. Stay away from The SEST (IMHO) as you are at the mercy of the experience of the tuner.
Also if you do decide to buy the SEST then Roeder's up here in NE Ohio are the best (Harley Davidson Factory Racer's) in Ohio.
