I have my SG with a 103 engine. I like it but I am looking seriously at the new SE Street Glide. I also have an SE Fat Bob. It has a noisy engine, that 110. No problems at 5000 miles but I hate that noise. Don't want to pay SE SG money and have to listen to that racket. Soooooooooo.... while I'm still going to check in to the 2011 SE SG, I want to look at other brands. Victory seems to be getting good press and I ain't married to HD. Even the yamaha touring bike looks good but I can't live with their 4 gallon tank, not on a cruiser. I sure I will get some grief from the "real HD riders" but I'm sure many of us started out on some other brand. Opinions?

Is there a question in here? or are you just trying to stir your own personal pot at the expense of this HDForum and to the loyal that enjoy the American soul of the Harley?

"American soul"? It's a motorcycle! Just curious though. who comes first with you, HD or family. And yes there is a question. Been on this forum a long time. I ain't no troll and I don't have HD stuck up my butt. I do happen to like HD motorcycles. I own two. I prize people in general over any motorcycle.

Sorry Hog I don't know what "high posting" means or I would respond. It's hard not to offend the HD mentality but my question is liget. I'm looking at HD first but I am looking artound for other options. I'm not trying to offend anyone.

I was looking at the Stratoliner Midnight. It is a tourer. 4.5 gallons. Which bike are you referring to that has a 6 gallon tank?

Harleys are often imitated these days. I still don't see them duplicated. That's my problem with Jap bikes and Victorys. They are just phoney knockoffs. A guy once told me his Jap bike looked so much like a Harley, that a lot of people couldn't tell the difference. I told him you can go downtown and find something that looks like a woman. Me, I gotta have the real thing. It's your choice, you gotta live with yourself.

You might consider Kawasaki's big 2000cc Tourer. Kind of on the order of a Road King, but with a lot more Poop! My Sig says how I feel about HD's, but it doesn't bother me a bit if anyone else wants to ride another brand. Have at it, and enjoy the ride.

I'm not sure where you're reading all this positive Victory press. Most of the "press" I've read on them has been lukewarm at best. The cross bikes are ugly, the Vision is beyond ugly. The Jackpot is not bad looking, but I need the practicality of a bagger. If I could have a second bike, I guess I might consider one, but there's so much more you can do with a harley than you can with any other bike, why jump ship?

Of course, I know guys that would buy any other bike than a Harley just because it wasn't a Harley.
