Hey guys, I just bought new gages for my 08 Ultra. The correct mileage is not showing up. Is there a way of updating the odometer? Thanks
In California, if you buy new gauges from a Harley dealer, they check you current mileage when you order and then have the factory set the new one before they ship it to the dealer.
If you bought used gauges off of eBay or Craig's List, at least according to my local dealer, neither H-D or the dealer can help. The actual mileage is in the odometer, not a 'computer' on your bike.
I have swapped the gauges on my last two bikes. Always made a guess on what the mileage would be on the bike in a couple of months and used that mileage when I ordered the gauges.
I you ordered them from a dealer they SHOULD HAVE ASKED you the mileage.
I'd complain if you went this route and they did not ask.

I bought them off a guy from this forum. I guess I can always figure out the difference and add or subtract when I need to. No worries. I thought the dealer might have been able to update it.
