I'd like to laugh, but I have the same obsession. I have read so many posts about the compensator and the wheel bearings that I just KNOW something is waiting to break.
At least the bearings I can visually inspect.
I would be more worried about the crank run out ripping your oil pump apart?? Or you could enjoy riding it trouble free for 100k miles.
I didn't want to tell ya after reading this but they are thinkin about havun a recall on all the Baggers from 07'- 10'.... piston return springs are very weak and could break on hard acceleration or decelleration......
Time to upgrade to the SE version. Also a good time to re-flash the flux capacitor...
I can't lie...this forum made me so paranoid I did upgrade to the SE Compensator for my 08 Road Glide last winter...I can't tell any difference, though it does seem smoother overall and there isn't any noise coming from the primary...

What would the smoother overall operation and no more noise in the primary be from? You start some new medication lately?
I ride pretty hard. I'm only worried about two things:
-The belt breaking when I do a burnout (which is rarely, after helping my buddy replace his three times in 4000 miles)
-My floor board brackets breaking from getting too thin
Other than that, I think these bikes are damn near bullet proof. I'm AMAZED at the abuse these things can take and just keep on running like clockwork.
I probably worry about the same as an average Harley owner. Especially since I'm fairly new to the H-D world of Hogs and Hog riders.
I'm not so much concerned about the my bikes mechanicals while it's covered by warranty. What I'm most concerned with is what will happen after the warranty gone and I've got $30K invested including accessories and I can't afford to get it fixed. I know, some are going to say buy an extended warranty.
Some just get on them and ride and probably don't give a rats *** until something breaks. I guess there's no need to worry until it happens huh?
