Default Backrest Question

Guys, I've been looking for a couple weeks for a solo backrest that will attach to the OEM H-D quick disconnect hardware. I've found nothing and I'd like to have a backrest when riding solo without having to change the seat just yet. Anybody got anything?

Yeah, if your seat has the slot in it for a add on back rest, ya can check the H-D parts manual for the quick disconnect back rest. I added one to my 06RG and it makes a world of difference from no support. It also comes off easily and stows in the saddle box.

Are you talking about when you ride solo or when using a SOLO seat? If it's when using a solo seat I have seen none other than if you use a Corbin solo seat. I use my tour pack with my solo seat, the tour pack is mounted on the Harley detachable rack setup, which then I use tour pack as back rest.

I'm looking for a 1 up backrest to work with a two up seat for now. When the money tree starts growing I can talk about changing seats.

Okay.....now I'm feeling dumb. I just went out and checked my seat. I didn't even realize there was a slot under the grab strap. I just assumed it was a one piece seat.

Thanks!

I didn't know the tour pack could move forward to be used as a backrest with a solo seat. I don't think I've ever seen photos of that type of setup. Is that only possible with a detachable kit?

The Harley Acessory catalog has a few pictures of the Tour Pak mounted for "one up" riding...

If you can find someone wanting to sell the adjustable backrest you will love it. I don't remeber what they sell for new but I found one on ebay. It makes all the difference in the world...

Here's a link to the backrests at the moco
