i've seen the vivid black on the 2011's and it looks just as good as ever. the first time i saw the sedona orange it looked like a metallic rootbeer. that was in a showroom with artificial light though, and flourescent is so much different than real sunlight. i've not seen one outside but i can imagine that it's much more of a metallic orange than rootbeer color. i liked the chevy red/orange they used last year, or was that this year?
CVO line? I guess I am the oddball but I am about flamed out.
This was my year to buy an CVO... which is why I didn't bother even looking for a CVO Ultra (Come on HD...1 color scheme on the CVO Ultra this year? Really???). Those flames, now 2 years in a row, are something that I would be really tired of in a year.
So I bought the CVO Street Glide in Black Diamond and Crimson Trace...While I agree the color choices aren't the greatest this year...this particular one is nice.
painting new parts of bike at factory is significant portion of cost. ie talked to someone that works in managment at PPG who knows the HD purchase system with them. New managment at HD is cutting cost up and down the manufacture process. from here on out for awile choices might be limited.
It may cost more to offer more color options, but it doesn't cost anything to offer better fewer ones.
Are we spoiled, or what? Most of MoCo's bikes have a choice of 4 to 6 colors... how many other manufacturers give their customers a color choice, period?
