Only if you cannot find another you like and if you do, ge a warranty in writing that for 2 yrs if this problem crops up, they will fix it free of charge, no matter what the cost is. Let the dealer put his money on the line it was an ECU connection, not yours.
Might be worth another look/test ride. Hey, at the minimum, you get to put some miles on the scoot & wouldn't cost a dime. Also, if you elect to purchase, make sure the former problem's documented w/sale in case it reappears.
Ask the dealer to let you contact the original owner. If your ok after a conversation with him, make sure the dealer will stand behind their repair for an agreed upon length of time and buy the bike if its the one that you want.
I found another 09 about 150 miles away in another state. It is the same price as the dealers bike but it has two seats and different windshield other than that it is the same. I think I will take the ride and see if it is as nice as the pictures. Its so easy to buy from a dealer when they do all the paper work. Thanks for the advice. That was pretty much what I was thinking just needed someone else to tell me.
