What is going on here??
Recently purchased a 1992 HD Police bike. Has 24K and is in pretty good shape given its age. The previous owner said he hasn't run it for 4 years. I only put about 20 miles on it before I took it in to have all the fluids dumped and a gone over. When I picked it up today, I was blowing smoke as I drove it home. I didn't notice it when I dropped it off at the shop. First thought....Over filled the oil so I sucked out a half quart and started it up. It still blew a little smoke. I noticed that the fuel level is near empty and it is the origional gas that sat for 4 years. Could old gas cause the smoke? I have a hard time believing valve seals would be bad on an Evo with 24K? Gonna try new gas and see what happens. What do you guys think could be the issue?? Thanks

Bluish smoke means oil, black smoke means gas. You need a leak down tester with a gauge to test it. The tool will generally come with instructions. You put the cylinder you want to test on TDC

And all I ever use for fuel additives is "Chevron's" fuel system/injector cleaner.
It's the best, but don't take my word for it.
GM, Toyota, Porsche, Audi, Daimler/Benz, BMW and more all recommend the use of this product.
