Default Tour pack relocator installation

I've had the Kuryakyn tour pack relocator on my '05 Ultra for about a year. Dealer installed it. Just discovered that the chrome at the two forward bolt holes has cracked. Dealer installed the kit the first time. I'd like to try my hand at replacing it. QUESTION: Just how difficult is this install / replacement? Do I need to be a master mechanic, or is it a simple job for the faint of wrench?

Suggestions? TIA...

Tod

It is a fairly simple install. It took me about 1 hour doing it myself. Another pair of hands would be helpful holding the rack and tour pack.

Just go slow and have someone there to help hold it. Plan on an hour or two.

How much space is now between the rear of the seat and the front of the travel trunk (for those with trunk) when relocating the TP?

Default Depending on how much you want.

I just purchased a bracket made here in USA, the gentleman that makes it is an american, and it's shipped American. Call him on his cell, he'll talk to you. You won't believe the room until you actually mount the hardware.
For $169.00, and real piece you can count on, it works. All you have to do is let him know what year, model and style your dealing with.

Hey when the better half is impressed and she can't complain about room, I've got it licked@

Gerorge Anderson, his cell is 309-236-0952. Don't worry if he doesn't answer right away, he may be riding....

He's honest, a deal that can't be beat and you'll be glad you called.

This is not an advertisement or bounty email. Just another FLHT rider with happy results and wanted to share a tidbit of information.

Ride Safe

Tom

Just saw that this post was almost 4 years old, guess this issue is resolved.

+1 on George he will ship it that day and tell you to send him the money. He does not even wait to get your money he just tells you to send him the money and he ships that same day. Great product.

Wink Cracked up maybe?

Sorry for my remark that I am going to make. If You can't change that relocator, You should'nt own a bike. Sorry about that. Least you asked the question. By the way. Look close at the bolt holes where the tour pack bolts to the hoop. It is probably cracked clean through. I have had them crack, dealer installed and installed at home. Didn't make a differnce who installed them. George Anderson relocator is the best one on the market. Priced similar. Phone # 309-762-6291 no web page. I am grumpy today, I just found I need to change out my cam tensioner on my 05 ultra.
Good luck
Jim
