Default 30t pulley question

I have searched and have not been able to find a answer on the forum. I have a '09 Street Glide and have installed the Andrews 30t pulley. Like everyone else my belt is to long. The '09's and newer with the new chassis have a 140t belt from the factory. I have been unable to determine what tooth belt I need. Has anyone made this pulley swap on a '09 or newer?

Sorry I can't help with the belt but I'd like to ask a question. Why did you change the pulley size? I've got a 09 UC and I'd like to get a little more low end pull and I'm wondering if you did this for the same reason. Maybe bumping the tread will get you the answer you need.

Changing the front pulley from factory 32t to a 30t tooth on a '09 or newer will change the gearing on a touring bike from 2.85 to 3.06. The '07s and '08s were a 2.79. It will pull off better and pull a little stronger in each gear, not needing to downshift as much.

If I can find a belt to make it work!

You probably already know this, but...Andrews says that you can either elongate the swingarm holes or change the belt. Unfortunately, my selling dealer has no idea what belt would be required. "Just have to try it and see." Couldn't even tell me the length of the stock belt. Don't think I want them making holes bigger either.

The '09s and newer use a 140 tooth belt. The rule-of-thumb is a two tooth change on the pulley is a one tooth change on the belt. But, HD doesn't offer a 139t 1" wide belt. So I am looking for a belt. Good luck to me!

Is there not someone that has installed a 30t pulley on a '09 or latter?
