Default FLHTK - Rain

Moved from 2006 ultra to 2010 ultra limited earlier this year. I rode the ltd in rain now a few times. First - the radio has a CD stuck in the player and keeps flashing disk error messages. I'm travelling now and will get that taken care of. The bigger issue for me is that during heavy rain, I get a lot of rain coming up around the front of the tank - enough that I covers my glasses quickly and makes it really hard to see. I have water coming up and water coming down. I rode the 06 in the rain several times and never had this issue. Anyone else experience this? Any suggested cures?

You might want to look into a air baffle for the lower triple tree...It bolts to the back of the lower tree...It helps on my classic.

My radio quit in a downpour on LizardHead pass 3 weeks ago, but of course I was riding in it for over an hour.(with some hail) Started working the next day after drying out in the garage. Last week I rode thru a few mudslide areas and another downpour kept working ok, just can't tell what color it is..What can I say it's the mountains and western Colo monsoon season. Just tell my wife when we go out "throw on the goretex we're going for a ride"

Instead of paying $25 for a chrome fork baffle, I bought the standard black one that used to come on the Road Glides. It was like $12 and is not noticeable. Blends in really well.

Got a part # for that? I can't find it on the P&A site.

Got stuck in a 2" all day rain on The Parkway 2 months back. Didn't notice any difference in the amount of H2O getting to me from the Limited vs my 95 Ultra.

I keep a full face in the tour pack and even that got soaked from all the water coming back and down. Harley rain gear kept me totally dry, save some water getting up under the full face. Didn't help that visibility was mostly about 100'.

112 miles in 7 hours. Real frog drowning weather!
