I have an 04 FLHT with Bikeronics radio. I want to upgrade my speakers to the Boom speakers (77181-10) that harley just put out. According to the instructions "Use of these speakers on 2005 and earlier Harley-Davidson audio systems WILL cause permanent damage to those systems."
Does anyone know what type of damage they're talking about? I can't imagine what it is since other companys are putting out larger speakers.
I am also wondering if the Boom Audio iPod Interface would also fit the earlier models. The description says 06-later.
The parts book shows a Harley boom speaker upgrade for 98-05 FLHT FLTR
Harley Part # 77181-01 I heard one and yes far better than the factory speakers. I have an 02 EGlide standard which I added the radio and aftermarket speakers.
