Funny, on my '08 the lids will hit them if I'm not careful. It isn't too difficult to open or close the lids without hitting them but I wouldn't say that they don't get in the way.

If my '02 Ultra didn't already have them, I would be trying to buy some, and I wouldn't stop untill I got it done either!

That, I am not sure of. I know they won't work on my 2010.

The pre09 ones won't fit on the 09 up bikes because the rear fender is larger and the grab rail mount isn't wide enough to go across the fender. I took them off my 95 and they would not fit. SOld them to a friend.

Nope they don't bother anything and as the other psoter said, the passenger feels safe3r and it's easier to move the bike.

I have a Mustang Regal one piece seat on my 01' Ultra and no issues with the grab rail. The seat is only a tad wider than stock, but fit fine.

On my '07 they hit the wife's legs.....the '09 no problem.
I wasn't worried as I only use them to tie down my Nelson Rigg bag.

I was just wondering about the same issue, the wife would appreciate the extra feeling of security. Good to know they won't jack up my bag lids more than her shoes do!
