I have some of each. I got a set of JM modelHCUS-09GTM-C for $109 and installed them in my 09 Ultra. They really sound good with no amp. I have the HD Boom speakers installed in the rear and they also sound great. I like them both and either choice would be great. Same for the Hog tunes. Also have a set on my other bike. They sound good. If I had to chose which one I would buy now the price would the difference in my decision. All of these are very good!

Thanks you for your imput the Hog tunes are the cheapest, so I should buy them and same the $40 for something else.
I went from OEM to Hogtunes, good improvement. My buddy went from Hogtunes to the Boom Audio speakers and his sounds a good deal better than mine. If I had it to do over again, I would get the Boom Audio's.
I have the 6.5" Titan Hertzs from Biketronics...A little more cheddar but they have a life time warranty (peace of mind is nice) and the people at BT are great to work with...I've got Rineharts on my EG and they sound great at highway speeds
I use exile audio and hertz on all of my installs and they work perfect the big difference you should be looking for is in the tweeter material a soft dome on a bike will soud good but look for the titanium ones instead ... the BOOM audio is a joke compaired to these two companies and at almost the same price they are not a good deal and quality is just not there if you need more info just ask thanks
save up for the J&M 7.25 you will spend less in the long run.
after you buy the hogtunes and then you hear your friend J&Ms you may find your self wishing you got the J&Ms in the first place thisway you only buy once
Give firecap501 wayne robinson @ 405-343-5050 he has a great reputation on this forum for audio, i will tell you that i went cheap first and i regreted that choice. He can hook you up with the best possible sound for the money. I ended up with the Arc 125.2 amp and 6.5 Arc speakers and the sound is great. If you do the labor yourself you can save a whole lot of money, treat yourself to an early christmas gift.
thanks for the reply's, but am not a serious stereo guy just want something better than stock without breaking the bank. I can hear mine now with the stock speakers just want something a little better. To me the amp and $250 J&M 7.25 are a waste of money. My friend bought the J&M 5.25 and they are the same price as the boom. That I can afford.
