I have a perfect 8.5'x3.5' section at the end of my garage for my bike:
The problem is that even with a 20point turn, I don't know if I can get the bike in there! I have thought about building a "platform" that I could put on rollers or something similar that I could pull straight onto, and then "roll it" into place for the winter.
Anyone ever done anything like this? Thoughts?
My alternative is to get 3-4 of my closest friends to help me "lift" my ~800lb bike into place =P
This isn't to scale, but it will basically allow me to garage both of my cars, my lawnmower, and my snow blower. Only my trash & recycle bins will have to stay outside in back =).
I use the same storage area in my garage. I have a sears bike jack/dolly with a removable tee handle. And like the others have said you can move the bike easily in and out of that storage location.
