It looks like my ECM may have gone bad.
Should I replace the ECM? Or install a ThunderMax?
Do I lose cruise control with the TMax? Alarm? Are there any TMax quirks I need to know about?
I have a PC3 that the ThunderMax would make obsolete for me.
How much are OEM ECMs?
Looking for ideas.
so how is it that you determined that your ecm went bad? your bike can be plugged into the diagnostics tool at harley, that'd sure be lots cheaper than another ecm. you have a data port that they plug into and it'll find out if your ecm is bad. that's my suggestion anyway, let someone who knows ecm's take a look at it, rather than assuming it's the ecm. it may be something as simple as a stator, after you spent the money for a new ecm. i hope you see the logic here. good luck with it.
