fuel gauge less problem

My crank position sensor went out on my 07 ultra. Had it replaced. After getting it back my fuel gauge is doing things differently. My light now comes on at 130 miles instead of the 170 miles. The gauge will drop like a rock now. I am still getting close to the same mpg. When I fuel up at 160 miles now it is pegged below empty as before it would be above the empty

I am using the pcv w/at

any idea's
