Exclamation ThunderMax TBW

I am thinking about a thundermax auto tune for my 2008 Ultra. Does this auto tune for timing as well as air and fuel mixture. I know you have the option to manually set timing with thundermax, but when it autotunes is it going to set it at what autotune thinks is best?
I really would like to know the important features about ThunderMax other than what I've seen on You-Tube.
I would like to close the book and purchase this if it is going to do the full job.
Thanks for any info I can get!!!!!
Ken

I don't think so. know my older model doesn't make any self-adjustments for timing. Pretty easy to do it yourself though, if it's needed.

No, none of the currently available autotuners adjust timing. Unless they've changed something, you'll also lose your knock sensor by using a T-Max.

With ThunderMax with Autotune. You load a map that contains all the basic information of fuel injection, idle settings, AFR, timing, etc. Supposedly these maps are created with a dyno. Since each bike is a little different, the autotune adjusts the fuel injection rate depending on the O2 in the exhaust. You can manually adjust AFR, timing, etc.

I have had a ThunderMax TBW for about 6 mos on my 2008 Ultra Classic and have been extremely please with it. It seems to have more giddy-up and go, no decel popping that I had with a SERT (hthat was dyno'd a couple of times). As a check, I had the bike dyno'd to check to see how close the map was and it was very close.

The other thing neat about this is it will adjust fuel injection rates to control the AFR to any new mods you do, weather/altitude changes etc.
