I have read in the past that vivid black does not have a clear coat. Does anyone know for sure if it does or does not? Seems wierd that it would not but that is what I read on the internet so it must be true.
Far as paint is concerned I sorta do airbrushing. If I mix all my colors together it saves me from having to buy black. But too much hassle. Easier to buy it.
I too am an artist and as an artist I fully understood your point. BUT... this is The HD Forum, not The Artist Forum. As I mentioned just try ordering an "every color added together" Harley - it's the very reason there is a color known as "black".
The T.W. Black Color Magic did not work much for me. I have not used the T.W Back Box and I wonder if the Black Color Magic is the same as the Black Carauba Wax just in a different package? Does anyone know?
They all have a clear coat, even the denim colors or non colors for you artist. Denim clear coat has a satin finish or dull finish not glossy but its still a clear coat!
I have seen the Turtle Wax "Black Box" but all the steps seem like a pain to me.... Has anyone tried the Turtle Wax Black Color Magic wax? Results?
I have and IT WORKS!! I have some Glare for and did my bike with it after getting back from Sturgis this year. The first time I got it out in the sun I could see small swirls. The next day I re-did it with the Black Box and there was that clean, swirl-free finish I had been looking for. Not such a pain when the results are this dramatic.
