You might consider just a cam change. It'll make a bigger difference than just a big bore will. If you've got the cash, do both. If you're on a tight budget, start with cams.

If you're looking for neck snapping, tire smoking power get a Boss Hoss,it will save you money and headaches in the end. They are out there for the price of a CVO with three times the power and pretty reliable.

All depends on what you want in the end.
Will you do it yourself or take to a dealer?
My build cost me $1000 Can. for the parts.
Forum finds and E-Bay.
Labor.....$0, did it myself. (priceless)
Got to understand the internals better!
Initial dyno results 79ish HP/89 ish Torq.
Pipe probe was faulty so couldn't get reliable numbers.
Will return when fixed.
30% increase was worth it to me.
I run true Duals ,so I know I could be higher with a 2-1.
Lots to consider.

Thanks for the info. Talked to one pretty good mechanic who was saying I could get 95 bore and cams maybe even get the port and polish done for around $3000 so might go that route when I can

Go with S+S 97" kit. Some mild cams, port and polish on heads, use Bartels head and base gaskets. Its all in the budget. If you have the know how, the labor saved will buy most of the parts. Thats just me, your results may vary.

I am sure you could get the 95" bore, cams and port and polish for $3000.
Educate yourself a little bit and do some more reading up.
That's a lot of money for a bolt together, plain vanilla setup.
Where do you live?
