It would help if the dealer would do more then "well, can't find nothing wrong. Ya got two years for us to figure it out. Just keep riding it and letting the thing die on ya, till something blows"............Or until I die on it. Whichever comes first.

Yeah that 5 min. warmup would get me thrown out of my subdivision, LOL! My wife says she hears me coming from a mile away, yee hawww!

Yeah, I heard "Take it and break it" re: my starter. So I did. I'll get it back in an hour or so. Ive noted the heat too. I did install the heat shields which do help quite a bit.

My understanding is the best thing you can do to prolong the life of your HD engine (in addition to regular oil changes) is let the engine warm up for several minutes before increased load and rpm.

Ive seen way less in the 07. the 99 and 00's, their cams blew out! 06"s had ,motor mounts,injectors,radio,paint issues,07, just a very few problems the multitude of happy riders are out riding not pecking away here.LOL

20k, youre lucky! Had two buddies back in 98 pickup their new 99 roadkings and they went before 5k and took a bunch of other parts with them.

1300 Miles so far on my 07 Electraglide Classic. No issues whatsover.

Am waiting to decide what to do about exhausts and remapping, etc when I see more options available.
