has anyone ever taken a bike like the E.G. std. (like mine) and taken the batwing off to put on a nacelle of sorts ? Is it possible ?

Yes it is possible to use Roadking parts. The cost of doing it is probably going to be more than selling your EG and buying a newer Roadking.
The Touring bike parts manual would be a good place to start.

...Yup..1 guy did it...a long time ago...they hauled him off to a looney-bin...and he's been there ever since.....
